Fun with Play Dough

It’s smushy, it’s squishy, it’s fun and best of all it costs so little to make because all the ingredients are in your pantry! We love play dough

All you need is :

3 cups of flour
1.5 cups of salt
6 tsp cream of tarter
3 tbsp oil
3 cups water

Put all ingredients into a medium sauce pan on your stovetop ( medium heat) and mix until it becomes a dough about 2 to 3 minutes

Let the dough cool and then roll it into balls

Once it is completely cool you can add food coloring to make the dough any color you want… But be prepared for colored hands : )

Then store the play dough in plastic wrap or in Tupperware; my play dough lasts at least 2 months sometimes longer as long as it is stored correctly!

No matter the age give play dough a try… It’s all ingredients that won’t harm your child! Let them have some fun. Who else loves play dough?

  1. When I was really little, my baby-sitter made this for her own kids (and me, when I visited)! She made her own play-doh because (a) it was cheaper and (b) her kids liked to eat it. With the amount of strange ingredients in commercial play-doh, this version was much safer!

    1. Totally agree… My daughter is 20 months old and love making things I know are safe for her to use! And with little ones they eat everything so you have to be safe. And saving money is so important
