Homemade Clay Family Handprints

A great family keepsake that I just adore…

and you make the clay with just 3 ingredients!

I was inspired to try this when I saw the recipe on E How.com Mom

All you need is:

1/2 cup salt

3/4 cup flour

1/2 cup water

First: Heat your oven up to 200 Degrees F

Then mix the ingredients: salt, flour and water to form a ball of dough

Roll the ball of dough out

Then have each family member put in their handprint

I included my husband , my daughter and my hand in the center and my kitty on the left : )

Bake the handprint creation in the oven at 200 degrees F for 3 hours

Once cooled paint it any colors you want…

  1. I love it . I think when I do it I’ll put hole on each side and hang it on the wall with fancy rope or ribbon. Thanks for a great idea.

  2. thank you… I found a smallish bowl with wavy edges i’m going to use to put edge on my rolled dough.. going to make 2 .. one for her handprint, one for a picture frame. put 1 hole in top of frame piece, 2 holes on bottem. & 2 holes in top of pandprint piece so i can tie em’ together.
