Check out the ITunes preview: A Word’s a Bird

The watercolors were done by illustrator Jeanne de Sainte Marie and they are beautifully done and our very own local author / poet Orel Protopopescu wrote the beautiful poems that will be read in this app.

Mia loves it even at 22 months old, and I love it too the colors and words are wonderful. I really enjoy the calmness it brings the two of us as we view it together. ( Perfect way to relax before bed or a nap )

As you can see Mia loves to listen to the English narration by  Kenny Mann and the French narration by Elodie Fondacci

She gets so excited when the animals move, the cardinal chirps, or she is able to interact just by touch

The app is only $2.99 and so worth it. I recommend it for children and adults of all ages. Beautifully done. You will enjoy it

  1. What fun to see adorable Mia playing with the app! This video shows some of the 800 paintings used to make it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv1traMhNjk&feature=youtu.be The video comes with the app, just press the publisher’s tab (Syntonie) on the welcome page.
More information can be found on the developer’s web pages below, English or French. Please like us on Facebook and tweet the bird if you’re on Twitter. Thanks!
