Being it is a Full Moon tonight I wanted to do something fun with the kids that incorporates the Moon. I saw Moon Dust Painton Pinterest by Learn-Play-Imagine.com and I had to give it a try.
What is great about this paint is that it is so simple to make and is perfect for coloring in the moon. I love making my own paint and using a piece of chalk was a new texture of paint that was very appealing not only to the eye but touch once it is dry too.
On Thursday July 30th we held a Christmas in July event at the American Legion Hall in Patchogue with vendors, family fun and of course Mr. and Mrs. Claus were visiting Long Island all the way from the North Pole to visit the children and support Sunrise Day Camp along with Momee Friends of Long Island.
The night of the event was perfect summer weather for a great indoor and outdoor event. We were so happy to provide a fun experience for families to come to and enjoy a night of early Christmas shopping as well as enjoy some early holiday fun.
This past weekend was my birthday and I have always wanted to go Archery shooting. My husband and I were both first time archery shooters and we had an extremely positive experience at C & B Archery in Hicksville, NY.
Last Monday we visited with Dragon Gate Martial Arts in Oakdale. Shihan Mike Iannone taught us about Stranger Danger and how to keep ourselves (kids) safe. He had great tips that I wanted to share with all of you.
For the month of July we have chosen a young 4 year old boy from Selden who has compassion and an incredible amount of love for his older brother who has autism. At a young age Dylan has an abundance of kindness towards others.
We received the nomination for Dylan from his mother, Laura.
I love using Pool Noodles to craft with and during the summer months the dollar store has them in a variety of colors. These Pool Noodle Boats are fun to craft and play with in the water. Fun for kids of all ages.
