Shipwreck Cove Spray Park Bay Shore Marina

What an awesome place for kids and adults to keep cool this summer!

Right next to the Bayshore Marina, this is one of the cool spots on Long Island to head to on a hot, summer day.

When you enter it is very clean and there is a nice amount of lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas. There is no food or drink allowed inside the pool deck area but, there are plenty of picnic tables outside of the gated area to sit and eat. You can bring your own food or there is a burger stand near by.

The Shipwreck cove is a lot of fun with a huge slide in the center of the pool, I love the detail of the boat and the captain on top looking around. There is a smaller slide, as well.

There are a great amount of sprinklers around the pool to keep wet and cool in the summer sun.

Ms. Ann brought her nephew to the spray park toward the end of the day. She stayed until the spray cove closed at 6pm. She said, at that time it was not as busy as the morning and early afternoon usually is. One thing she emphasized is that the Spray Park because it is not a no depth spray park that she feels it is more appropriate for kids who can swim and since there are older kids who go maybe ages 5 and up would be better. Kids under the age of 5 can absolutely go there is no age requirement but there are other spray parks on Long Island that are more suitable for the little ones.

Also, there is a perfect amount of life guards inside the Spray Park. Being that the spray park has only one way in and one way out and requires a bracelet to enter it is a safe area to enjoy for the day, too.

Overall, Ms. Ann’s nephew can not wait to go back. It is a really fun place to go with your family this summer! There is a playground in walking distance and the beach and marina right there, too.
