Laurie Berkner SOLO at The Paramount was SO MUCH FUN!

We had the best time at The Paramount in Huntington yesterday seeing one of our favorite family music artists, Laurie Berkner.

Laurie’s songs are catchy and fun for all ages! My husband and I enjoyed singing along to the songs we know and love thanks to our girls asking to watch Laurie on her You-Tube Channel or putting one of her cd’s on in our car over and over, again! Our girls were beyond excited to see Laurie Berkner LIVE and meet her after the show. It was an awesome family afternoon out in one of our favorite areas on Long Island, Huntington Village!

“What Kind of Friend are You? Take the Colorblind Quiz!”

Author Leah Harper Bowron and her book, Colorblind: A Novel, tells the story of Lisa, a 6th grade girl who dealt with bullies and racism in the 1960s.

She has developed a new online quiz (because who doesn’t love online quizzes?) for middle schoolers up to adults: “What Kind of Friend are You? Take the Colorblind Quiz!” Great opportunity for discussion between parents and kids.

Healthier New Year for YOU and your family

I don’t know about you but, a New Year means a new list of goals my husband and I have come up with together.

These goals are improvements we want to make in the upcoming year not only for ourselves but, also for our family. Yes, I know it is almost February but, you do not have to put the goals you came up with aside and wait for January 1st of next year. Let’s not be so hung up on the day of the week or the start date. Let’s be honest any day you decide to make positive changes in your life is the perfect day to start.
