LIMEHOF has expanded its ongoing Sunday Concert Series to include local comedians with the musicians to create the Soundtrack to Summer series featuring LIVE Music and Comedy.
The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) has great events happening this month including some great festivals. There is nothing like a summer day on Long Island with some great music. Which event(s) will you attend with family and friends this August?

8/2 3pm LIMEHOF Summer Band Camp Concert
The second annual LIMEHOF Summer Band Camp Concert will feature High School Student musicians from our summer band camp program which runs from July 27-31st and features professional musicians as guest instructors including Brady Rymer, Johnny Farina, Roger Earl and Kerry Kearney. This year the students are from Medford, Bluepoint Bayport, Sayville, Mastic, Stony Brook, Commack, Hauppauge and West Hempstead.

About Tommy Sullivan
A life-long Long Islander and proud U.S. Army veteran, Tommy Sullivan enlisted in 1965 and was accepted to the United States Military Academy Band, where he created the first official rock group at West Point.
Reentering civilian life in 1968, he helped create the Rhytm Method, a 7-piece Long Island band which was discovered by Johnny Maestro, then singing lead with the Del-Satins. The combined groups became the Brooklyn Bridge. As band leader and musical director, Tommy penned the group’s horn arrangements on every Bridge hit, including their gold record, Worst that could happen.
Upon leaving the Bridge, Tommy co-founded Atlantic Records’ supergroup Ramatam, which was Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell’s first group following Hendrix’ death. For the second Ramatam LP Tommy wrote and orchestrated original material which featured select members of the NY Philharmonic Orchestra.
Together with Johnny Maestro, Tommy co-produced Johnny’s final CD, Peace on earth. The critically acclaimed album features Tommy’s arrangements & orchestrations, plus several of his original songs.
A Charter Inductee to the LI Music Hall of Fame, Tommy Sullivan continues to write, record, arrange and produce records, serve as musical director/ arranger/conductor for projects across many musical genres plus donates dozens of performances annually for numerous charity events. Tommy Sullivan’s dynamic and unique one-man show, A thousand memories, featuring his vocals and performances on four instruments, has been packing concert auditoriums, nightclubs, private parties–even vineyards-for the past several years.
John Zeigler
Born and raised in New York, John has performed stand-up comedy for close to 20 years and was the winner of the 2016 “Funniest Comic on the East Coast” Contest at Mohegan Sun. John’s opened for such comics as Sebastian Maniscalco, Gilbert Gottfried, Jim Breuer and Robert Klein. He currently headlines clubs across the country and regularly tours with legendary comedian Bobby Collins. John recently released his Dry Bar Comedy Special and Getting My Affairs in Order.
8/22 7pm Kerry Kearny’s Master Class Guitar Symposium *
(Special $12 ticket required online or at door)
Kearney will be working with guitar students demonstrating and teaching advanced guitar playing techniques including slide guitar, fingerpicking, blues and build lead guitar solos. The event will also include a jam session. The public is invited to attend and bring their own guitars. Seating is limited. Tickets to the class are $12, available online and at the door.
About Kerry Kearney
Kerry Kearney (pronounced “Car-Nee”), a slide guitar master, plays and works his instrument to limits that amaze even the most seasoned musician or cultured music fan. The sounds Kerry creates from his vintage, stock and custom made guitars are as unique as his song writing and original melodies. Kerry was voted “Best Guitarist of 1999” by the LI Voice and “Bluesman of the Year 2004” by the LI Blues Society. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Long Island Sound Award (L.I.S.A.) from the LI Music Hall of Fame and most recently, in 2013, he and his band mates were each inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame. He has toured nationally and internationally with the Allman Brothers Band and Dickey Betts, and has performed with such contemporaries as Sonny Landreth and Robert Randolf. Kerry and his band have shared the stage with the great BB King at the NYCB Westbury Theater and at the Paramount Theater in Huntington, NY, as well as Robert Cray with the Blind Boys of Alabama and The Blues Brothers starring Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi.
Kerry Kearney’s style, music from the “Psychedelta”, is his own brand containing an upbeat mix of American Blues & Roots, created from writing and performing on the circuit for over 40 years. Along with his band, he has continued to experience an overwhelming and positive response over the airwaves and especially when performing live. His wailing upbeat style of blues, driven by tasty, inspired guitar riffs, electrifying slide and infectious rhythms, has allowed Kerry to amass a huge loyal following.

8/23 3pm Band The Acoustirats & Comedian Jordan Lauterbach

Fronted by Stefan Marchello, lead singer and 36-year veteran of the Good Rats, alongside guitarist Matt McCarthy, who also did a run on guitar with the band. Jordan Lauterbach is a fast-rising comedian who features prominently in clubs around the country. His autobiographical style and supreme wit keep audiences laughing for hours after they leave the club. Lauterbach is likable, relatable, and tremendously funny. He has opened for some of comedy’s best and is quickly carving out an audience of his own.
8/30 3pm Musician Grimm Jack & Comedian Chris Roach
GRIMM JACK
New York’s Grimm Jack has been called one of America’s best rock and roll bands. Whether playing live or in the studio recording, they are a hard-driving but melodic act. The band has often been compared to Guns n’ Roses, Alice Cooper, and Aerosmith, with a bit of southern bluesy flavor thrown in. The group developed legions of loyal fans and earned a reputation as a solid live act through their energetic performances and radio-friendly music. Songs such as “Shy Boy,” “One Track Mind,” “Maybelline,” “Lookin’ For Heaven,” and “Love Will Save The Day” all achieved regular airplay on FM rock radio everywhere.
Critically acclaimed in legendary rock publications CIRCUS, HIT PARADER, EAST COAST ROCKER and signed to independent label CYN CITY RECORDS, the band was a hot item during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. They still grace the stage with the kind of music and energy that makes you want to be in the clubs all night long.

Standing 6’6″ tall Chris Roach is bringing comedy to new heights. His self-deprecating humor and mannerisms make this gentle giant stand out from the rest (or at least taller than the rest). Chris brings you into his world talking about everything from his family to some of his unusual life experiences. Chris was one of the cast members on the Kevin James sitcom Kevin Can Wait and has been on tour with comedian Kevin James as his official opening act.
