We went on Sunday to see our first Long Island Ducks Game. Sundays are Family Day at the park. I would say this is one of the most affordable fun things to do on Long Island. The Bethpage Ballpark is located in Central Islip.
From the time we got to the park it was such a nice experience. Parking was easy and FREE and not a far walk to the park.
We were so impressed by the cleanliness of the park and the friendly staff. Once we got through the gates, my husband and Mia went into the Waddle In Shop to buy Mia a Quacker (at an affordable $5.00) along with a Quaker Jack Foam Finger and two t-shirts for him and I.
When we went through the gates we were given a FREE towel because it was Whole Foods Market Night with Ducks Rally Towels.
The park is set up great with bathrooms located throughout and concession stands with a variety of foods. All within a short distance from your seats. Mia loved that they had her favorite snack, popcorn. On the First Base side their is a huge bounce slide for the kids to slide down ( $5 for a bracelet for the kids to wear so that they can slide as many times as they want.) On the third base side their is a Ducks Bounce house.
After every inning there is something fun going on. The Long Island Ducks really know how to keep kids attention during a game. It is fun for kids and adults. Mia loved QuackerJack the Long island Ducks Mascot. He is adorable and kept the crowd cheering for our home team. Mia enjoyed quacking just like him. She even got to give him a high-five.

Be sure to post your photos at the ballpark during every Ducks home game for your chance to win onTwitter of you at the game by using#FlockPhoto. The winner is announced on Twitter and Facebook and you win a Family four pack of tickets to the game.
The reason we went to the game was to see Mia’s fellow dancers and dance school perform during the pre-show. Now we are hooked and will be regular Long Island Ducks fans cheering them on as many games as we can during the season. The Revelations Dancers did such a great job. I love our Dance School;Revelations Dance Center in Ronkonkoma.

*** There is not a bad seat in the park and you will be happy you went. ****
Also, next year I plan on signing Mia up for The Long Island Ducks/Bethpage Kids Club. I plan on going to a lot of games next season and when your kids are part of the club they have so many great perks for them to enjoy for the whole season. I love everything the Long Island Ducks has to offer families and you will too.
Momee Friends of Long Island highly recommends taking your family to the ballpark and I can not say enough how much we enjoyed ourselves. I think the organization’s focus on fan experience is a priority because not only did my husband and I have a great time but so did our 3 year old who had never been to a baseball game before. We loved it so much.
It was a great family experience for us and we really look forward to going again.
