Halloween is not just for kids to go door to door dressed in costume and get some yummy treats. Here on Long Island we have a lot of places for teens and adults to go and enjoy a good scare during the Halloween season.
We have a great list of places to go. The Haunted Houses and experiences below are not listed in any particular order. If you love a particular Haunted House tell us why in the comments below.
Colossal Candy Creations, Flying Unicorn Pigs and Marshmallow Tsunamis to Invade Midtown.
Candytopia, the immersive pop-up that brings a sugar-coated dreamworld candy factory to life, is thrilled to announce its national expansion and debut in New York City. Following its successful Los Angeles run in Santa Monica in early 2018, Candytopia will bring its imaginative confectionary wonderland to Midtown Manhattan later this summer for a limited engagement.
You probably know about the Museum of Natural History in New York City. Maybe you’ve been there.
But did you know there’s a “natural history” museum right here on Long Island?
Okay, it doesn’t have all the things you’ll find in Manhattan. But it does have an amazing ocean exhibit. Even better that the Museum of Natural History, which has a fake whale hanging from the ceiling, this place has a real 32-foot whale shark! It’s the world’s largest taxidermied (stuffed and preserved) fish! And it was caught nearby, off Fire Island, in 1935.
The Long Island Game Farm – Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo is a great day out for the family with great animals to see and feed throughout.
We packed up the kids and headed to the Long Island Game Farm and the kids could not wait to meet Clifford the Giraffe. When we entered there was a giant map of all the fun things to see and do at the zoo.
