Halloween is Monday and there is still plenty of time to get your scare on.
Where will you visit? Which is your favorite?
We have a list of great places to visit whether it is a haunted walk, house, or jaw dropping scary.
You probably know about the Museum of Natural History in New York City. Maybe you’ve been there.
But did you know there’s a “natural history” museum right here on Long Island?
Okay, it doesn’t have all the things you’ll find in Manhattan. But it does have an amazing ocean exhibit. Even better that the Museum of Natural History, which has a fake whale hanging from the ceiling, this place has a real 32-foot whale shark! It’s the world’s largest taxidermied (stuffed and preserved) fish! And it was caught nearby, off Fire Island, in 1935.
The Long Island Game Farm – Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo is a great day out for the family with great animals to see and feed throughout.
We packed up the kids and headed to the Long Island Game Farm and the kids could not wait to meet Clifford the Giraffe. When we entered there was a giant map of all the fun things to see and do at the zoo.
A great experience under the stars at the Planetarium for all ages.
As a child I remember loving the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium and I could not wait for the day to take my own children. I was so happy when I saw that they have different shows for all different ages. So even at a young age my daughters could enjoy the show.
A fun place to go with your family for mini golf, go-karting, arcade games and food all at affordable prices.
It was the first time the girls have ever been to play mini golf. They loved it and since we went during the day and it was not very busy at the time we went the girls played for fun and not so much by the rules. We did not keep score and the girls just enjoyed hitting the ball and cheering each other on as they took turns hitting their golf balls.
