Last Sunday, one of our local Momees, Jen headed out with her family to Caleb Smith State Park Preserve for one of their programs. Their program was called Nature Quest (a scavenger hunt) and everyone had such great time on the beautiful walking trails and grounds.
Heading out with your family? How about a day out to visit and learn about animals? Long Island has a lot of great places to visit where animals are the main attraction.
Check out our list of great places to visit:
located at 130 Bayview Avenue
East Islip, NY 11730

Since I was a little girl I loved visiting the South Shore Nature Center. I grew up on the south shore in Oakdale and I went here often to go for nature walks. If you take Bayview Avenue more south you will end up at the East Islip Marina. Around this area you will see a lot of deer.
Located in Smithtown, NY this nature preserve is a great place to visit.
