Since I was a little girl one of my favorite family traditions is going to Hicks Nursery in Westbury during Christmas time. At Hick’s your family can pick out their perfect family Christmas tree, enjoy meeting Santa, see live Reindeer and walk through their animated Christmas story.
Hicks Nursery is a family owned Long Island business that has been around since 1853. The Hicks sixth generation is running the business these days and Hicks continues to shine in our community year after year. Throughout the store there is so much to look at with beautiful Christmas decorations everywhere. There is a reason Hick’s is known as Long Island’s Largest Christmas Store. A true Christmas destination for you and your family to go to each year.
The Holiday Inn Westbury hosted an amazing fundraiser last night (Wednesday- September 16th from 6pm to 10pm) with a Luau theme. The Fundraiser benefited Angela’s Housean organization that provides services and support to children and families on Long Island that are in need of special home care to support medically fragile children living at home.
Currently, Angela’s Houseis providing assistance to over 600 children throughout the community. The goal of the evening was to raise $10,000 by the end of the night and General Manager Franklin Manchester has announced that they raised over that goal. The event was fantastic and we were happy we got to attend such a wonderful fundraiser for such a great cause.
