We took our first class of Movin’ Monets at Mini Monet in Sayville yesterday with Miss Natalie. The class combines Yoga and Art for kids ages 3 – 5 years old.

For the first half hour Mia did Yoga with Miss Natalie. For Mia’s first time I think she did wonderful following Miss Natalie’s direction and she loved it.

They stretched first and got to know one another. As you can see by their smiles they were having a great time.

 The poses are fun for the kids to do and Mia loved the names of the poses. She giggled a few times especially with Dog and the Cat poses. Mia loved the Warrior and Tree poses and has been doing them at home excited to show everyone what she learned in class yesterday.

And when Mia had trouble following a pose, Miss Natalie took the time to show Mia the correct way to do it.

Once they were done doing yoga they then did an art project called Zentangle.

Using cardboard, rope, aluminum foil and markers they created a fun project that Mia loved to show off.

This project looks great hanging in our house.

Between the yoga and the art Mia had a fantastic time being a little Movin’ Monet!

I highly recommend this class at Mini Monet along with any class with Miss Natalie she is wonderful.
