DIY Light Lawn Ornaments

We love Christmas and there is nothing we love more than decorating for Christmas. When I was searching through Pinterest I saw this awesome idea to make you own DIY Light Lawn Ornaments. My family and I loved how they looked in the pictures and decided to make a few of our own. Now, I am not sure if we would call ours ornaments because they are not perfectly round so, we like to call them Christmas boulders. : )

For this DIY craft you will need:

chicken wire,

metal snips to cut the chicken wire,

a measuring tape,

and LED mini lights

We made ours double the size that the video suggested. We bought a chicken wire bundle from Home Depot that was 1 in. x 4 ft. x 50 ft. 20-Gauge Galvanized Poultry Netting to make bigger balls.

In the video she mentions the round shape is hard to get and she was not kidding. LOL

But, we liked them, anyway and decided to wrap them with 300 mini LED lights per boulder and I was so excited to see them light up once they were plugged in.

WOW, they came out better than we thought and the girls LOVE them! They really glow and we could not be happier with how they turned out. If you are not a stickler with shape than you will be happy with this, as well.

HAPPY DECORATING! We hope you enjoy making these for your outdoor decorations as much as we did!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from our family to yours.
