We are so excited for Valentine’s Day! Not only do we love a day that is dedicated to celebrating LOVE but, we LOVE pizza, too. We wanted to make something fun that everyone in the family would enjoy and we all love pizza.
We encourage you to get in the kitchen with your kids as often as possible and create memories, together. Making pizza in the kitchen is always so much fun. Making the perfect pizza dough is not always easy to do. But, luckily grocery stores carry pizza dough that you can use. We bought our pizza dough from Whole Foods, as well as, already made pizza sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese. This brand of pizza dough also has a Multigrain dough that my husband and I really like.
Once you have your ingredients be sure to leave your pizza dough out for at least 60 minutes. Having the dough sit out at room temperature will help make the dough easier to work with. The girls love using the rolling pin and enjoyed rolling the dough to make the pizza. You need to use your “dough muscles” to roll out the dough. : )
Once the dough was rolled out the girls shaped their dough to look like hearts.
The girls were excited to put the sauce on their heart shaped dough.
After the sauce they put the cheese. My girls like plain cheese pizza but, you can put any toppings you like.
We baked in a 375 degree F oven for about 18 to 20 minutes. (or until golden brown)
This was a fun meal for the girls to help make. They really enjoyed their pizza and so did we, it was delicious!
We hope you and your family enjoys making pizza together and has a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
