Looking after your home can be extremely boring, we know that. You have to complete the same tasks day in, day out which is never ideal. They need to be done though, and you’ve got to make sure that one way or another they’re getting completed. But, what are they? Let’s have a look so you can keep yourself on track. 

Get Up In Those Gutters

The first thing that you need to do is make sure that you’re getting up in those gutters. Your gutters need clearing out because if you don’t, you’re going to end up with leakages and mold in your ceiling/walls. It’s easy to think that this would never happen to you, but there’s evidence to suggest otherwise.

Clearing out your gutters is not always the easiest thing to do, as it requires you to get up on the ladder and get your arm in to remove all of the stuff that’s built up in there. Ideally, you should be doing this once a month, or after there has been a bad storm in your area as this often blows leaves and other debris into the gutters.

The good news for you is that if you don’t want to do this yourself, there are companies who will take on this task for you. Or, you may find that there are neighborhood teens who are looking to make a little bit of extra cash. 

Clear Out Your Ducts 

Next up, you’re going to need to clear out your ducts. This is not a pleasant job as there is so much dirt and grime that gets caught in there, but if you don’t allow it to build up too much then it won’t be too much of an issue.

Another problem is that it’s fiddly to clean. You have to make sure that you’re being careful so that you don’t damage anything, or if you’re hesitant to do this, then hire a duct cleaning service to take the pressure off of you. They will let you know how often this needs to be completed, and then you can bring them in when needed. 

Move Appliances And Clean Under Them

Last but not least, you need to be moving your appliances and cleaning under and around them. We know that this is a lot to do, especially if your appliances are heavy. For example, if you have a freestanding oven, you can move this out and to the side so that you can get under and around it, same with appliances that are on your countertop.

You might not realize just how much dirt builds up here, but it’s gross and you need to sort that out.
