THE POPULAR ALL KIDS FAIR RETURNS FOR ITS 15TH YEAR WITH A GREAT LINEUP
The 15th annual All Kids Fair returns to the Hilton Long Island/Huntington, with fabulous classes and attractions to entertain all. This year’s All Kids Fair will be held on Sunday, April 19, from 10 AM to 4:30 PM at the Huntington Hilton, formally known as the Hilton Long Island/Huntington, at 598 Broadhollow Road (Rt. 110) in Melville.
Every year, this fabulous children’s expo has many draws for Long Island families in “25,000 square feet of fun!”, according to Barbara Kaplan, director of the expo. Since 2011, the All Kids Fair has provided a fun day each April for kids and their families to spend time together and also learn about Long Island-based companies that offer services and products for them. This year’s event will have favorites returning plus exciting new classes. The list includes martial arts mini lessons, fencing demo, Padawan Training Institute (“use the force and wield a lightsaber”), field day games, and rock band demo.
“My girls and their friend had such an amazing time today. I took a ton of pictures. We can’t wait for next year’s event,” said repeat attendee Cindy Frankel of Hicksville. There will be special guest visits from Miss Long Island 2026 Geanna Koulouris, Miss Long Island Teen 2026 Shyla Silva, and Ms. New York Senior America 2025 Tina Hanley. In addition to over 80 exhibitors, activities and attractions this year include face painting, balloon twisting, soft play for ages 0-5, and a petting zoo with sheep, goats, chickens, and bunnies from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, weather permitting.
At “Be a Biker for a Day,” the children can touch, sit on, and take photos with different motorcycles. They will be able to get temporary “biker” tattoos and socialize with real “bikers” from non-profit Bikers Against Child Abuse. Kids will also have an opportunity to pose with Stormtroopers from the Star Wars movies, compliments of the 501 st Legion, an organization that has the mission of “Bad Guys who do Good” while raisings money for non-profits.
Moronke Oshin-Martin of TGA of Northern Nassau County shared her experience last year, saying, “The event was full of energy; the kids were excited, parents were enthusiastic, and everything was so well organized. It’s the place to be for vendors!” This fun-filled event offers exciting educational and leisure activities to interest kids and their families. The Fair offers choices for toddlers through high school, including kids who have special needs or are gifted. There will be information about schools, camps, after school activities, birthday party ideas, and college planning.
There will also be a charity drive to benefit Agape Meals for Kids, a local 501(c)(3) organization that provides weekend meals to children living with food insecurity on Long Island. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable, easy-to-prepare, easy-to-heat, single-serve, and healthy food. Those who donate food or money will receive raffle tickets to win great prizes and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped Long Island kids in need.
