The Little Red Barn in Riverhead -

The Little Red Barn located on the beautiful North Fork of Long Island is a 40 acre farm property that offers so much for local families to enjoy. This property is owned and operated by an incredible woman, Miss Kate Nickles and her family. We had the best time at the farm speaking with Miss Kate and seeing her beautiful farm and I can say, spending time outside with your family at a local farm that takes such amazing care of their animals is pure JOY! The Nickles family and their staff look forward to giving their visitors an experience they will love and their ultimate hope is that you will continue to come back with your family and visit over and over, again. I know my family and I can not wait to go back.

We are still talking about the bunny snuggles we got to enjoy during our visit. The goats were so friendly and who doesn’t love the opportunity to be up close with horses and ponies? And did you see how gorgeous the rooster and hen are?

Family Visits are available in the Spring, Summer and Fall that include:

*holding and cuddling cute baby bunnies and have a big bunny to hop around you

* 5 miniature goats to hug and play with

* baby chicks to hold

* a friendly piggy who loves behind the ear scratches and bellyrubs

*see a cool rooster named Sonic

* horses to view, ponies & miniature horses to pet, hug, brush, put bows on the mane

* pony rides are included for little children 60 lbs or less!

Walk around outside the fence and look at the fields of horses for great photo opportunities and take pictures of you and your family/group with your phone!

– Picnic welcome! Bring/pick up your snacks, lunch for your family or group at our picnic tables overlooking their beautiful tree farm with horses, ponies and miniature horses surrounding you! Enjoy and relax before, during or after your farm visit!
