Do you make your own from scratch, or do you use a box mix? Do you like plain pancakes? Chocolate Chip? Sprinkles? or Berries in your pancakes? 

We have a great recipe that you can make, and all the ingredients are most likely in your pantry and refrigerator. Who doesn’t love pancakes for breakfast, lunch or dinner?

I encourage you to have your kids help mix the batter for the pancakes. The best memories are made in the kitchen of your home (in my opinion) and for older kids this is a great first recipe to learn how to make on their own. 

Check out our go-to family pancake recipe:

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups all purpose flour

2 ½ tsp baking powder

3 Tbs sugar

1 ½ cups whole milk (whole or almond milk)

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

Stick butter for melting for pancakes

  *Optional Mix-ins: Chocolate Chips, Sprinkles , Frozen Berries (thawed first)

Directions:

Mix all dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and sugar) in a bowl.

Then, add ito the bowl, the egg, milk and vanilla extract. Once mixed, you can fold in chocolate chips, sprinkles or thawed frozen berries. 

Heat a non-stick pan and add butter till melted then, scoop batter into hot pan to make some delicious pancakes.

Cook until top bubbly and edges set, 2-3 mins. Flip and cook the bottom golden brown Serve with your favorite maple syrup and fruit toppings.
