Long Island’s Amusement Park welcomes Tigers Den and Flying Tigers in 2027
Adventureland, offering family fun for everyone since 1962, will be roaring into its 65thBirthday Year with two new exciting rides; Tigers Den Family Roller Coaster and the Flying Tigers (both designed and built by Zamperla). There will also be a few changes including most notably, the park has retired the Antique Cars, which have been part of Adventureland in various forms since 1965.
“As we get ready to celebrate Adventureland’s 65th anniversary on Long Island, we’re excited to continue building on our tradition of family fun with the addition of Tigers Den and Flying Tigers, said Jeanine Pacella, Adventureland Manager. “New additions to the park represent our ongoing commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests of all ages while continuing to invest in the future of Long Island’s favorite family amusement park. We look forward to welcoming families back to the park in 2027 to celebrate this special milestone with us.”

Flying Tigers
The Flying Tigers family ride was built and designed to look like the famous “flying tiger” Curtiss P-40 Warhawk airplanes used in WWII.
The ride is about 50.1 x 27.1 ft (1,356.42 ft²) and can fit about 32 passengers at one time. The minimum height requirement to ride with an adult is 36” (40” to ride alone).

The Tigers Den
The Tigers Den Roller Coaster is a family ride designed and built by Zamperla. The total track length is 301 feet. The coaster reaches a maximum height of 15 feet and max speed of 16 miles per hour (about average for a family ride). The minimum height requirement to ride with an adult is 36” (40” to ride alone). About 12 passengers can ride at one time.
Legacy Corner Near Complete
Adventureland will also be fine tuning the finishing touches on its Legacy Corner area which began renovation in 2024. After nearly 3 years of work, legacy corner has expanded the amenities, food and game areas throughout the park. The 2027 season will see a few more changes to that area as it nears completion.
