The cast of Aladdin performed with delight and engaged with the audience throughout the show. I loved that there was no stage sets used. The scene was set through dialogue and minimal props. The personalities of all the characters shined throughout the story with lots of wit and humor. The kids in the audience seemed to really enjoy the show (I know my girls did) as I looked around and saw kids and adults smiling and laughing out loud throughout the theatre. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
Little Mermaid Jr. is a must see at The Gateway in Bellport.
Today, was opening day of The Little Mermaid Jr. and we loved it from beginning to end.
My girls and I were dancing in our seats along to some of our favorite songs like, “Under the Sea” and “Kiss the Girl.” I honestly can not pick a favorite scene because they were all so great. Each character played a significant role in bringing the movie we all know and love to life in front of us. All throughout the show my girls kept telling me, “Mommy we love this show, we love this show.” And quite frankly so did I. I could absolutely see it again. It was a delightful and feel good show for any age sitting in the audience. BRAVO!
IKEA in Hicksville is celebrating Summer with some wonderful events for the kids.
Not only are they providing some FREE Family Fun for their IKEA FAMILY card members but, they are giving back to our community. Did you know that on any given night there are 2,000 children in homeless shelters in Nassau and Suffolk counties? “At IKEA, children are the most important people in the world, so IKEA looks to support programs that make a difference in the lives of the many children. For this reason, IKEA Long Island is partnering with Long Island Coalition for the Homeless to donate 500 backpacks to homeless children. We are also doing a school supply drive throughout the month of July to fill those backpacks.”
