Written by a local Long Island Momee and teacher this children’s book will be one your kids will love to read over and over again.
Stephanie Shulman wrote a Halloween poem fifteen years ago with no intention of it becoming a children’s book. She came across it five years later and she thought it would make a cute book for kids and that’s when she decided to write Monster Bash.
Monster Bash – “An unexpected thunderstorm during a Halloween costume party washes away a little monster’s insecurities and reveals the surprising, true identities of the other guests, allowing everyone there to learn the value of being unique.”
I highly recommend this book for kids to read. There is a positive message to be accepting of everyone because everyone is unique and their own person and that is a great thing.

“After learning about veterans in school, a young boy discovers that heroes live all around him: the butcher, barber, librarian, and many other members of his community who have helped protect our freedom and liberty by serving in various branches of the American military. Veterans: Heroes in Our Neighborhood is an engaging rhyming picture book for readers of all ages that fosters mindfulness of and appreciation for the brave service men and women who are also our family, friends, and neighbors.” – Veterans: Heroes in Our Neghborhood
Cpl. Manny Jimenez is a veteran of the Marine Corps and became injured while serving our country.
Valerie Pfundstein has written a great children’s book that all young children should get the chance to read. The story has a great message and I highly recommend this book. Another Momee Friend favorite from a local Long Island Author.

Disney Super Buddies did not make it to theatres but was released on DVD and Blue Ray on August 27th, 2013
If you watch Disney Channel or Disney Junior you have probably seen the adorable commercial of these super puppies.
The movie was very cute, and Mia enjoyed it. Has Disney come out with better movies? Of course!
Is it the best dog movie available? No
However, the story is very cute and I enjoyed watching it with Mia.
It has a great story message that ” You don’t need Super Powers to be a Super Hero ” and I think that is so true.
