No-Bake CHOCOLATE CHIP Chickpea Hummus

The girls are loving the How To GoNoodle videos. The first recipe we tried was Cookie Dough Hummus and the girls LOVE it! I love that this is a no-bake healthy dessert for the kids to enjoy.

Hummus is traditionally made with chickpeas as the main ingredient and other ingredients are added to make a flavorful treat for you to use as a dip. This particular chocolate chip hummus recipe is great as a dip or by itself. My girls love it cold and eat it by the spoonful! It reminds me of raw cookie dough without the egg.

GoNoodle is an app that your kids can download on your mobile device!

Check out the video on how you can make it, as well with your kids:

I love a recipe that the girls can help make from beginning to end. This is an easy recipe that involved only using the food processor and there was no baking rewuired. Adult Supervision is needed since the blades on a food processor are so sharp.

As seen in the video once you drain and wash your can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans) you can add it to the food processor along with the your nut butter, vanilla extract, maple syrup and cinnamon.

Once blended well, carefully have an adult scoop the hummus out of the food processor bowl and put into a mixing bowl. Then, have your child fold in the chocolate chips. My girls love this part and they can never resisit eating the chocolate chips out of the bag.

This recipe is delicious and one we are sure your kids will love. We refrigerate ours and enjoy it for up to a week in a covered and sealed container. If it lasts a week which it rarely does. This makes a great party treat, as well. Serve with graham crackers on the side for dipping.

If you are in the mood to bake cookies. We have a wonderful Chickpea Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe for you to try with your kids.
