Been hitting the gym regularly but you’re just not seeing those gains that you’ve been looking for? Then you’re not alone. Trying to build muscle is not actually easy, and plenty of people get frustrated when they’re unable to do it.

Many individuals struggle to put on the muscle mass that they need, and that’s despite amazingly diligent training and nutrition. The good news though is that with the right approach you can overcome this challenge that you face and achieve the muscle building goals of your dreams.

From using the help of SARMS to speaking to a trainer to get a targeted plan, there are things that you could be doing to grow muscle. Let’s look at some of the top tips that you need that are most reliable to help you to grow your muscles.

  1. You need to eat more. It sounds like a counterintuitive thing to do when you’re actually actively trying to get healthier, but eating more is actually going to help you to build your muscles. Determining how many calories you burn daily to maintain your current weight means that you need to then create a surplus of around 250 to 500 calories more than your maintenance. Prioritise these calories in protein and carbohydrates as well as some healthy fats. This will help you to build and support your muscles growth and repair.
  2. Add some resistance training. Don’t just rely on cardio because that’s not going to help you to build muscle. With progressive overload and optimal Rep range, you’ll be able to increase your muscle growth. You can train each muscle growth two to three times a week and consider implementing split routines so that  you can target muscle groups on different days. This allows you proper recovery and gives you a chance to focus.
  3. Don’t forget to supplement. Diet and training really are the foundations of building muscle, but supplements can really help that additional support that you’re looking for. From BCAAs to creatine and protein powders, you can use these supplements to help you to target that mass gain that you’re looking to achieve.
  4. Get some sleep. Believe it or not, one of the best tips for muscle growth that you need is at least 7-9 hours of high quality sleep every night. Sleep is essential for your muscle repair and growth, so you need to practice your stress management and you need to make sure that you are recovering and sleeping well.
  5. Be consistent. Building muscle isn’t something that happens overnight. You have to be patient and you have to be consistent in your routines. Stick to your nutrition, your supplements, and your training plan. And even when progress seems slow, keep pushing anyway. Any small victories you end up with, celebrate those loudly and continue your journey.

Progress when it comes to muscle growth with using measuring tapes and weighing yourself. The scales aren’t as reliable as measuring tapes to be able to track gains, so keep an eye on it and work with a trainer to help you to get where you want to be.
