“One River School’s K-2nd students will be showcasing original paintings created in support of Autism Awareness Month as part of “The Kindness Project“. This acrylic painting project is all about the actions we do to spread kindness in the world inspired by contemporary artist Romero Britto.”

Danielle Thomsen who is the Director of One River School in Manhasset, let us know that for April and May, the work is going to be displayed in Roosevelt Field Mall and then prints are made from the artwork that are for sale and all proceeds will go to the Nassau/Suffolk Autism Society of America.

One River School is asking if you could support the Nassau/ Suffolk Autism Society of America (NSASA) along with them by attending the event and donating to this incredible local organization.

Please RSVP if you are able to attend the opening on Saturday, April 5th at 5:30pm.

The art will be shown on the concourse level near the new Play Roosevelt Field.

(You can enter near True Food Kitchen and go down the escalators to the concourse level.)

I’m Anne

I love to write about all things Long Island and family. I was born and raised here and as a local, I want to share all the great things I have loved about living here since I was a child. Our community is filled with great people, amazing local businesses, beautiful nature sites, scenic beaches, craveable restaurants and so much more. My husband and I knew when we had our first child that I would become a stay-at-home mom. Thanks to my love for sharing all the things I love about Long Island, my blog was created in 2013.

We are dedicated to linking families and businesses together for the benefit of all.
I hope you enjoy all that Momee Friends offers whether it is a smile, craft, recipe, friendly advice, or an event for your family to attend together in a safe and creative environment.

I hope you enjoy my blog and find it informative! Please feel free to comment and share your experiences with all your fellow Momee Friends! I want this blog to be for all of us and I want it to be an enjoyable site that you absolutely love to visit!
