Manimoweighted animals are loving companion pets! They are children’s comforting companion and valuable partners for parents.
Manimo is the weighted plush animal that helps focus and calm. These weighted animals are recommended for all children, but were designed specifically for children with ADD, ADHD, ASD, anxiety or other disorders. “Providing numerous benefits, manimo weighted animals help children develop their imagination and reach their full potential. And they are always happy to get a big hug.”
This product is one of my new favorite toys/ products out right now. I find the weighted companion to be so useful in our day to day lives. Some days are harder than others in our daily routines. If we are extra tired or are feeling any sort of anxiety our weighted companion, which we named “Speckles” helps us out.
What an amazing time we had at California Pizza Kitchen in Lake Grove (Smith Haven Mall) on Saturday. We had a Pizza Party Fundraiser to benefit one of our favorite local charities, Justice 4 Autism.
California Pizza Kitchen in Lake Grove did an amazing job with our fundraiser. Kyle, the General Manager of this location and his staff working that day was very accommodating and took the time to make sure our private pizza party was a success for all the families to enjoy.
It was with such great pride that Momee Friends was able to give special recognition to all of the children we recognized last year as our very first recipients of the Shining Child of the Month Award. Our Inspiring Child ceremony at the LATCP Playground even brought out County Executive Ed Mangano, who praised the amazing work that these young ones do. Each one of them have a special mission and are making such a big impact in our communities. In the days following our event, we were so pleased to see that the kids are even inspiring and supporting each other in their respective missions by helping to spread the word of each other’s goals.
This month, we would like to recognize and award 10-year-old, Keith Passanante of Lindenhurst as our Shining Child of the Month – another perfect example of kids helping kids.
Piece by Piece Bethpage was at it again all month long raising awareness for Autism during the month of April in their community. This time they were having a lot of fun with a blue gnome pass game that 10-year-old Kate Clyne came up with along with her family to support Autism Speaks.
The blue gnomes that are part of Kate’s crew traveled all over Bethpage to different locations. Each day we were delighted to see how many people and businesses in the community shared their pictures in support of Autism by uploading pictures with the blue gnome along with the hashtag #piecebypiecepass. The blue gnome took a picture with the Bethpage FD for Junior Firefighter training, with a happy puppy, Ultimate Gym, and at NSD for Hip Hop Class just to name a few.
