In the United States, there are approximately 7.6 million pets in shelters and even many without a home. Each year around 3.2 million pets are rescued and find their fur-ever home, while the others are left without the proper love and care needed.
Save a Pet in Port Jefferson Station, a non-kill, non-profit animal shelter, is teaming up with Lynx-NYto help these animals in need. We are proud to announce, we will be hosting a fund raiser at LI Pour House in Port Jefferson Station, with the goal of raising funds to support the Save a Pet Animal Rescue, and in addition match families and pets together with an onsite adoption option!

Last weekend, I had the awesome opportunity to attend and help out at the very first fundraiser for the organization, It’s My Place, a non-profit started by parents of children with special needs. Located in Islandia, It’s My Place serves as a gathering place where people with different abilities can come to learn, share, socialize and interact with others, and to celebrate and support one another in achieving great things.
The Pancake and Pajama event hosted by Applebee’s in Farmingville last Sunday (Dec.6th, 2015), was a success!
