My girls love Moana and I knew I had to come up with my own costume for my oldest daughter to wear.

Of course, I used items I already had to make an inexpensive version of Moana’s outfit in the movie. I even made a cardboard oar to complete the costume.

We had such a great Facebook event of all local Long Island parents sharing their Elf on A Shelf ideas that we wanted to share what happened all month-long.

Local parents shared their photos and ideas, we had a great Giveaway provided by Elf on A Shelf and we even created a Pinterest Page with the photos of the elves that were provided by local parents.

Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup Oh My!

After being diagnosed with Breast Cancer five years ago I started reevaluating the chemicals that I came in contact with everyday and specifically, the chemicals that had been linked to cancer. I starting reviewing my morning routine. My shower included the body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. After my shower, I would layer on the skin lotion, face lotion, and hair products. Lastly, came the antiperspirant and makeup. Were the products I was using safe?
