Manimoweighted animals are loving companion pets! They are children’s comforting companion and valuable partners for parents.
Manimo is the weighted plush animal that helps focus and calm. These weighted animals are recommended for all children, but were designed specifically for children with ADD, ADHD, ASD, anxiety or other disorders. “Providing numerous benefits, manimo weighted animals help children develop their imagination and reach their full potential. And they are always happy to get a big hug.”
This product is one of my new favorite toys/ products out right now. I find the weighted companion to be so useful in our day to day lives. Some days are harder than others in our daily routines. If we are extra tired or are feeling any sort of anxiety our weighted companion, which we named “Speckles” helps us out.

Looking to make a difference this holiday season? There are ways you can make a difference or even donate your time to a wonderful non-profit on Long Island, HELP Suffolk.
HELP Suffolk is a temporary housing facility located in Bellport, NY. At HELP, we provide housing for 76 homeless families from across Suffolk County. We have about 300 people living on-site on any given day, most of them children. While a family is living at HELP we offer services including case management, employment assistance, GED, child care, housing assistance, we have an RN on-site in our medical office and a full recreation program. We try to offer as much assistance as we can to the families at our shelter, while they are struggling with many of life’s obstacles.
You just finished dinner with the family and it’s that time of the night… bath time. After corralling your children, you plop them in the tub filled with warm water and their favorite water toys (that help make bath time less like a necessary evil and more like playtime). Your mind is sprinting from one thought to another. “Do the kids have clean clothes for school tomorrow?” “What are we going to have for dinner tomorrow night?” “Do I have any meetings tomorrow?” But do you ever stop to think about the water your child uses everyday to clean themselves, play in, and even drink?Where does it come from and how clean is it?
As always we have so much fun crafting with Elizabeth Hashagen on News 12 Long Island. We decided to get crafty for New Years so that we can keep the kids entertained before midnight. Let’s be honest it is hard for the little ones to stay up so we have some ideas to make it fun.
Every party needs a pinata! This countdown ball pinata is the perfect way to ring in the New Year with your family and friends. When you make it yourself it will cost little to make but just give yourself at least 2 to 3 days to get it ready for your party night.
