SLIME Maker Expo (Students of Long Island Maker Expo)
Saturday, May 20th 10am to 3pm
From recyclables to robotics, celebrating 21st century learning for all Long Island students.
SLIME is an interactive day of making for family and educators from all across Long Island. Hands-on learning activities from recyclables to robotics promote critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary for our children to participate in the global community. We anticipate over 100 activities, demonstrations, presentations and speakers.
Cara’s love for animals and compassion for others is why she is our Shining Child of the month.
Meet nine-year old, Cara Scaduto. Cara is very artistically talented and she puts that talent to great use. She is making a difference with her artistic talent in our community in big ways. Whether her art is helping animals who need to be adopted or to raise money and collect food for a local Long Island food pantry, her efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Meet our Shining Child for the month of January, Justice Rodriguez.
Justice inspires us all to strive for what we want and at any age we can become a local entrepreneur.
A simple and classic game for all ages is ring toss.
Make it a Halloween Theme by making witch hats out of dollar store cones and making rings out of paper plates.
