Fairy LiceMothers

Have you gotten a letter home yet stating that there has been some students with lice in your child’s school? Do you know about lice and do you know how to treat it?

We met with the Fairy LiceMothers at the Deer Park location and our experience was amazing. One thing I dread is finding out that one of my kids and/or myself has lice. The thought of it just makes me itchy. After speaking to Carol (one of the Fairy LiceMothers) I feel less nervous about it and feel more confident in what to do if it happens.

Some Lice Facts:

  1. Early Detection is Key!

  2. They only live on your head. Head lice feed on human blood several times a day and live close to the human scalp.

  3. Lice like clean heads the best.

  4. Lice are nearly as common as the common cold.

  5. Anyone can get Lice.

  6. ONLY humans get lice! Your pet can not get lice and you can not give your pets lice.

  7. Good news: you do not need to throw anything away. Your kids blankets, pillows and stuffed animals do not have to be thrown away.

Nymphs: The egg hatches to release a nymph. Nymphs mature after three molts and become adults About 7 days after hatching.

Adults: Adult lice can live up to 30 days on a person’s head. A maximum of 6 to 8 nits are laid each day by each female.

Do you want dead lice and nits (eggs) or NO lice and nits?

“Only the Fairy LiceMothers guarantee you leave lice and nit free.
We are not ‘one and done’. Our service includes two follow-up visits that serve as your insurance policy that you’re not getting it back from anyone. Although there are some products/services who claim they kill the nits, nothing washes them off the hair strand without manual removal. Not doing so leads to reinfestation, but even so, do you want a head with dead lice and nits or NO lice and nits? Our certified lice removal treatment specialists use the proven Shepherd Method to comb out the lice and nits no one wants left behind. There are no exceptions. You and your children are worth it.”
