Anti-bullying Quick Knit Hat Loom Kit for all ages

#HatNotHate Quick Knit Loom Kit from Faber-Castell® USA

Give the gift that gives back this holiday season! The #HatNotHate campaign’s goal is to promote solidarity against bullying.

Knitting and crocheting is something that people of all ages have become interested in. It has become very popular, but it is not one of the easiest skills to master. With this special edition loom kit from Faber-Castell subsidiary Creativity for Kids, crafters from age 7 to 97 can use simple tools and instructions to easily make two blue hats, which they can keep, share, or donate to the #HatNotHate anti-bullying campaign.

“Founded by anti-bullying activist and Lion Brand Yarn Company ambassador Shira Blumenthal, #HatNotHate collects homemade blue hats from around the globe to distribute to kids and students while educating them about bullying prevention. This year, they partnered with the LGBTQ youth empowerment charity The It Gets Better Project. Shira’s passion for anti-bullying stems from her own experience of being bullied in her youth. The concept for #HatNotHate was conceived by Shira to get the knitting community to knit and crochet blue hats (blue represents awareness and solidarity and is the color to wear in support of bullying prevention) and donate them to the cause.”

The goal is to collect 100,000 hats by 2021. To date, more than 32,000 blue hats have been collected!
