Our Puppy is the biggest fan of The Barkery Long Island because he gets high-quality treats and toys delivered to our door monthly and that makes his tail wag with joy! We also, place an order or two throughout the month for extra treats and toys because he is such a good boy!

My puppy is an aggressive chewer and the toys they have given us have lasted and the treats are fresh-baked with high quality ingredients. We love to play with our boy and he loves to chew! He gets the agressive chewer toys because he loves to chew EVERYTHING and he loves to play! They have a large assortment of toys so whether you are looking for tough toys for your dog to chew, a plush toy that squeaks or holiday specific toys they have you covered with all those types of toys and so much more.

You will also, receive a 15% off coupon to add anything additional from their website to your next monthly box. Also, they allow you to customize the box. (Hence, the superb customer service) and there has not been a treat or toy our dog has not loved. I would much rather spend our money on a local small business and support them than any other subscription box for dogs. Let’s get to know The Barkery Long Island and how they began their business:

Gary Kron said, “Starting my own business was something I always wanted to do. I guess I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, but never had the courage to go for it. After commuting to NYC for 20 years I finally reached a point where I wanted to give it a go. I knew I wanted to do something dog related. When people are with their dogs, they are happy. Plain and simple. After bouncing a few ideas off my wife, we settled on The Barkery concept. A friend created an awesome logo, I got the website up and running, and off we went. We tested out the concept at a local fair and the reception was great. We sold a ton of stuff and we knew we were on to something.

Our ultimate goal was to open a store but unfortunately the pandemic hit. We realized we immediately needed to pivot to online if we were going to try and make it work. We started to think about ways that we could reach people. The obvious one was social media but advertising can get expensive very quickly. We then started to think about how we could help rescues while getting the business exposure. We have rescued three dogs including two Golden Retrievers from Long Island Golden Retriever Rescue. We volunteer for them whenever they need help with fundraising or airport runs to pick up dogs. One of our Goldens is from China. We reached out to the President of LIGRR and asked if they wanted to do a fundraiser. We quickly learned that the pandemic destroyed all ways rescues raise money. One by one we reached out to local rescues and they all had the same story. We figured let’s give the rescues a portion of the sales in exchange for the exposure. It certainly beats giving a landlord the money. It’s been a win/win for everyone involved. We’ve donated over $1,700 in 10 months. We have a banner on our webpage that shows the total amount donated.

We have been personally hand delivering orders for customers on Long Island. We try to do it same day if we can in an effort to provide the best customer service possible. Our customers have loved it. It gives us a chance to meet them and their dogs. Some dogs come running out the door to greet us. There’s nothing better than a big furry hug from our customers especially in these crazy times.”
