Shepards Potato

A Baked Potato with Shepards Pie Filling

Lets call this Shepards Potato since there is no pie and we are using baked potato instead of mashed

I thought of this dish mainly because I wanted a baked potato but I also was craving shepards pie so I combined the two

I hear some of the greatest ideas come to you when you are hungry… so I hope this was one of those ideas

I first browned my chop meat

Then I combined in the bowl: onion, peas and carrots ( cooked)

as well as I can’t believe its not butter, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper (to taste)

I know traditional Shepards Pie does not have it but I added shredded cheese as well … the Kraft Triple Cheddar Shredded Cheese tastes great on everything ; )

I had been baking my baked potatoes in the oven for about an hour at 375 Degrees F

I cut them open and took out the white of the potato and mixed it into my mix and left the skins with a little potato left inside out like a little dish

I then heated up 1/4 cup of melted I can not believe it’s not butter and Worcestershire sauce in the microwave for about 20 seconds and poured the melted mixture into my chop meat mix

I then took the filling and put it into my baked potato skin dishes and served to my family

Lets just say this was a huge hit and I will be making it often 🙂
