Waltzing warthogs, monkeys doing the cha cha, and the most graceful giraffe you ever did see – just a few of the characters we read about in Giraffes Can’t Dance!  We had an amazing time sharing this story with the kids at Darlings & Divas in Amityville.

darlings and divas Story

The children really enjoyed the story of Giraffe’s Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae.

Following our interactive story time, the kids had an opportunity to show off their own creative spirit by dancing. The video below shows the children using the parachute with Ms. Ann.

It was so much fun decorating their own giraffes. The giraffes were decorated with cheerios, fruit loops and glitter gems to make their spots stand out.

Darlings & Divas was the best location for our fun-filled afternoon!

I’m Anne

I love to write about all things Long Island and family. I was born and raised here and as a local, I want to share all the great things I have loved about living here since I was a child. Our community is filled with great people, amazing local businesses, beautiful nature sites, scenic beaches, craveable restaurants and so much more. My husband and I knew when we had our first child that I would become a stay-at-home mom. Thanks to my love for sharing all the things I love about Long Island, my blog was created in 2013.

We are dedicated to linking families and businesses together for the benefit of all.
I hope you enjoy all that Momee Friends offers whether it is a smile, craft, recipe, friendly advice, or an event for your family to attend together in a safe and creative environment.

I hope you enjoy my blog and find it informative! Please feel free to comment and share your experiences with all your fellow Momee Friends! I want this blog to be for all of us and I want it to be an enjoyable site that you absolutely love to visit!
