The Lake Grove location has a very warm atmosphere, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff who help make the delicious food the CPK Kitchen is making  for their guests even better. The delicious menu items will be enjoyed by your family and friends in a very clean and modern design restaurant.

We began our meal with a Sangria Flight that was refreshing and the perfect pairing to the New CPK menu entree items. Each 3oz. Sangria in the flight had their own unique flavor that will fill all of your senses. The flight is a fun way to give all three new signature Sangria cocktails a try and I promise it will make you smile from ear to ear as you taste each one. (This Momee was relaxed and was enjoying every flavorful sip.)

The Sangria Flight: “featured fresh-made sangrias include Orchard Sangria, a refreshing blend of white wine, St. Germain Elderflower, Monin Stone Fruit, orange & cranberry juice, Red-Berry Sangria, with a rich blend of red wine, Rémy VSOP, Monin Blackberry, raspberry purée, cranberry juice and lemonade and the seasonal Harvest Sangria, made with a crisp, unique mix of Bacardi Superior Rum, St. Germain Elderflower and Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay with muddled grapes, basil & fresh agave sour. Enjoy your favorite or sample all three with CPK’s new Sangria Flight.”

The Lake Grove kitchen is in perfect view as you dine with your family and friends. Our server Gary was super friendly and made our dining experience very enjoyable. Kyle, the General Manager of this location was extremely knowledgeable of his menu and was wonderful at making all of the guests at the restaurant feel welcomed.

California Pizza Kitchen is known for their classic menu items like the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, salads and pastas, but we are highlighting some of CPK’s new menu that makes your realize CPK is so much more than pizza.

The Ribeye was super tender and the house-made pinot noir sea salt added a great flavor to the steak. I love bleu cheese and the creamy bleu cheese butter on top melted in your mouth making the steak even more enticing.

·         “Fire-Grilled Ribeye cooked with house-made pinot noir sea salt, topped with creamy bleu cheese butter and served with roasted fingerling potatoes and lemon-garlic wild arugula salad”

The roasted garlic chicken entree will remind you of a dish that your mom would make. It is a comfort food dish that is perfectly paired with seasoned veggies. I really enjoyed this dish.

·         “Roasted Garlic Chicken with Seasonal Vegetables, a crispy-skin chicken breast in lemon-garlic sauce, with a medley of the season’s freshest vegetables”

As much as I enjoyed the NEW Ribeye and Chicken dishes, the Halibut was my favorite entree. I love fish and the Halibut was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. I have never had farro before and I think the butternut squash farro was one of the highlights of my meal. The butternut squash added a sweetness to the meaty farro grain that made taste buds were loving. The dish overall was packed with flavor and it is one dish I will definitely be ordering again.

·         “Hearth-Roasted Halibut, wild caught from Alaska and roasted on a cedar plank with butternut squash farro, grilled asparagus and baby kale”

 

Picking up the pace with new Lunch Duos

California Pizza Kitchen is definitely the place to go for a satisfying and scrumptious lunch with fresh ingredients. Once you place your order you will not have to wait long for any of their delicious lunch items. The food comes out in a timely manner and your tummy will be satisfied.

After having all of this delicious food we had to make sure to leave room for dessert. Store manager Jessica was a pleasure to speak with and she highly recommended trying the Butter Cake. Not only did Jessica recommend the Butter Cake but, so did our server Gary and General Manager, Kyle. With all of this hype we had to try it. The menu even says , “Trust us. Just Try It.”

So we did try it and WOW! The look of this cake is deceiving, when you see it you think a plain cake topped with vanilla ice cream. And in this case I was wrong, when you scoop a piece of this cake with your spoon and taste the first bite your taste buds are going to go crazy. It is AHHHH-mazing! That is all I am going to say about it, you have to add this to your meal at CPK. You just have to!
