“BEET” THE HEAT WITH HEALTHY, REFRESHING SUMMER COOLERS
Delicious, Organic, Cold-Pressed Beet Juice
I usually don’t like the taste of beets and I was excited to try these cold and refreshing drinks with the main ingredient of beet which contains so many essential nutrients to change my view on the vegetable I don’t care for in flavor but, love the health benefits of. Well, there are two flavors that anyone who does not like beets will love. The two flavors I suggest are: Beet + Berry and Beet + Veggie. I highly recommend trying them and giving the whole line of Beetology a try. These beverages turned a non-beet lover into someone who likes to drink the beet juice in the Beetology convenient grab and go bottles regularly. In the article below there are great recipes for mocktails and cocktails that will be great to have at your next friends and family gathering thanks to our friends at Beetology.
Mary Poppins Jr. at the Gateway is Supercallifragilisticexpialidocious!
See the show now through August 18th, 2018.Fridays at 11am & 2pm and Saturdays at 11am
You will be as mesmerized by the talent in the show as young Jane and Michael Banks are by the amount of stuff Mary Poppins can pull out of her bag. The show is delightful and witty and one your whole family will enjoy.
Mary Poppins says , “In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.” The young cast of actors from The Gateway School for the Performing Arts did just that. Each actor and actress whether in the ensemble or playing one of the main roles were exceptional. There is singing and dancing in a perfectly portrayed version of the classic story we all know and love.
Summer is here and we are crossing off all things fun to do here on Long Island off of our bucket list.
We highly recommend visiting our friends at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City and enjoying a Nunley’s Carousel ride after you tour and explore one of our favorite interactive museums on Long Island.
Since it is #GivingTuesday I wanted to reflect back on what an amazing job a young girl in our community did this month to give back to others this Thanksgiving.
10 year old, Lana Moreno has a heart of gold and held her 2nd annual Give A Gobble Food Drive on Saturday, November 11th at the AMVets Post 48 in Ronkonkoma.
Lana Moreno started Lana’s World Hunger Dream at 8 years old in August of 2015 because she wanted to help people in need of food on Long Island. Lana has been collecting donations, shopping for food, donating items, running food drives and participating in community events for the past 2+ years. Last year the “Give a Gobble Food Drive” was a huge success and 117 Turkeys and trimmings were collected to donate to the Lighthouse Mission of Bellport. Lana was so grateful and excited with that number but, we knew she could top it and SHE DID!
