Gabriella Stein is a 9-year-old girl with a huge heart. She enjoys making others happy and on her 9th birthday she decided to give back to one of our local animal shelters in a big way.

Her generosity has made her our Shining Child for the month of August.

Gabriella (a.k.a Gabby) was nominated by her father, James Stein. “I nominate Gabby because she is always putting others first, makes everyone smile, and likes to make people happy.  She never likes to be left out, and that’s how she feels about others, no one should ever be left out.  Her heart is filled with joy.  Even during the worst of times she lifts everyone’s spirits.  I wish everyone could meet her even if it’s just for 5 seconds; her smile is contagious.”

Gabby had a great time shopping at Petco in Bayshore with her birthday money and Petco Gift Cards. She bought food and toys for cats and dogs at their local animal shelter which is, the Islip Animal Shelter in Bayshore. They were so excited to receive the donations and even gave Gabby and her father a private tour!

Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center  said, “A big THANK YOU to Gabriella Stein from Brentwood who asked for Petco gift cards for her birthday so that she could go and buy donations for our animals! What a sweetheart! Happy 9th birthday and thank you so much!“
