The Annual Chocolate Expo comes to The Cradle of Aviation- March 4th

Who loves Chocolate? I know everyone in my family does and anyone who is a fan of chocolate will appreciate all that the Chocolate Expo offers. The event will feature more than 80+ artisan food & craft beverage vendor booths, plus fun-filled entertainment and activities.

At The Chocolate Expo, attendees get to taste, purchase, celebrate and otherwise indulge in delicious gourmet chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, gelato, cheeses, wines, spirits, hard ciders, craft soda’s and much more from local, regional and even international vendors, all while touring one of the largest air and space museums in the world.

The fun is at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY, on Sunday, March 4, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Meet the Mike TeeVee actor from the classic movie Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, take a selfie with 25+ Star Wars characters, test your gaming skills at the Retrogaming Exhibit and see shows in the JetBlue Airways Planetarium!

In-tune with the Cradle of Aviation’s space theme, more than 25 authentically-costumed Star Wars characters from the 501st Empire City Garrison will descend on The Chocolate Expo and be available for selfies and other picture-taking opportunities.

To further showcase the Museum to visitors, tickets to The Chocolate Expo include free admission to shows in the JetBlue Airways Planetarium (regularly $9/adult and $8/child). “Space Junk” will be shown at 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure” will be shown at 3:00 p.m.

As an added bonus, the Cradle of Aviation’s hugely popular Retrogaming Exhibit will also be included free-of-charge (regularly $25/adult and $21/child) with paid admission to The Chocolate Expo. This exhibit features almost 90 classic console and arcade games for guests to test their gaming skills.

For children, the Museum’s Junior Jet Club will be turned into a “Kids Zone” featuring free face painting and balloon twisting activities.

In partnership with the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Long Island Cares, a Food Drive will take place on the day of The Chocolate Expo at the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Guests are asked to bring non-perishable food items for donation, and it is not necessary to be a Chocolate Expo attendee to participate in the Food Drive since Long Island Cares donation bins will be located right outside the front of the Cradle of Aviation Museum for drop-off purposes.
