Peter and the Wolf at Patchogue Theatre for Performing Arts- Review

We enjoyed the reading of Peter and the Wolf at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts with the musical accompaniment of the Long Island Concert Orchestra and narrated by Radio Personality Cindy Clifford (of WALK-FM fame).

The story came to life beautifully !

Cindy Clifford did a wonderful job narrating the story. She changed her tone of voice for each character and read perfectly with expression to engage the audience. We enjoyed that each character of the story was represented by a different instrument in the orchestra. For example, the duck was represented by the oboe, Peter was represented by the violins and the fox by the french horns. The Long Island Concert Orchestra was magnificent. My daughters loved mimicking the conductor, Enrico Fagone. They thought his role in the orchestra was so cool and it was a great teaching experience to explain what a conductor does and how important he is to the orchestra. The show was a delightful version of the story with a wonderful introduction of an orchestra concert for my young girls. BRAVO!

The show was just under an hour which was perfect for young children to appreciate the music and not lose interest. We look forward to more children’s theatre productions at our local theatre right here in Patchogue.

We the Patchogue Theatre and look forward to seeing the Long Island Concert Orchestra again, too!
