Back-to-School/ Educational Games by Pressman Toys and JAX Games

School is starting very soon and we have ideas for some fun back-to-school/educational games by our friends at Pressman Toys and JAX Games.

Learning should always be fun and something kids and adults enjoy. We love games that can help reinforce skills that children have taken a break from over the summer.

  • Rummikub

(For 2-4 players, ages 8 and up)

Rummikub is ideal for people of different ages to play together, and it’s great for a game night too. When kids play, it reinforces STEM and STEAM concepts such as sequencing, pattern recognition, and planning skills. It’s got lots of exciting moments, but it’s also designed to bring people together, with plenty of opportunities for talking, chatting, and sharing with family and friends.

*Rummikub has always been one of my favorite games to play with. When I was about 8/9 years old I remember playing with my grandma and mom. It is a family tradition I look forward to continuing with my mom and my daughters.

  • Sequence Letters

(For 2-4 players, ages 4-7) –

Kids will have fun playing the great game of  while learning the letters of the alphabet. Dot your ‘i’s’ and cross your ‘t’s’…it’s the  way to learn your ABC’s!

  • Make 7

(For 2 players, ages 7 and up) –

Challenge your friend and your mind with Make 7, the STEM game with an exciting twist that always adds up to fun! This think-ahead number tile game is perfect for reinforcing math skills and critical thinking.

  • Wordsearch

(For 2-4 players, 7 and up) –

The race is on with this exciting version of the classic hidden word puzzle–it turns a solitary activity into a fun group word game as players go on a word search. Create your own custom Wordsearch cards with the online Puzzle Generator. It’s super quick and easy! Visit and enter up to 20 of your own unique words to generate a customized puzzle board, and then download and print. The word combinations are endless!

We highly suggest these games from Pressman Toys and JAX Games!

We hope everyone transitions back to school smoothly and I think implementing these games, reading books throughout the day and continuously making learning fun that transition will be smooth.
