Grapes are due in soon and now is the time at wineUdesign in Hicksville!

That’s right! I said, Hicksville in Nassau County has a winery and once you visit you will want to visit again and again. You will feel like you are part of their family… Salute!

They provide the best in Ferment-ertainment (yup, it is not a word but, it should be thanks to the great minds at wineUdesign that came up with it). Talking about the great minds at wineUdesign meet, Vincenzo Saulle. (pictured below) I had the pleasure of meeting Vincenzo and Stephanie the night my dad and I visited. Stephanie has been working at wineUdesign for years and she is wonderful to speak with to enjoy the wine making experience, as well.

In 2010, Vincenzo and co-owner/ best friend, Gianni Fabrizi opened the doors to wineUdesign. They are both very passionate about wine and the process of making wine and are focused on bringing in customers to walk through the process of making their own wine. The tradition of making wine as a family is not something that happens anymore. Both men grew up making wine amongst three generations in their families and wanted to give others the same opportunity to do the same and revive the tradition. “Since obtaining their license as a winery, they have become officially the first and only winery in Nassau County allowed to produce and/or bottle. They are now able to distribute to restaurants or other businesses seeking private label opportunities.”

At wineUdesign they offer a pretty amazing experience for their guests in two forms:

• You can have an exclusive barrel of wine for yourself or a group of people you choose to share it with.

or

• You can also join in with a community of people and make wine together.

 

1. Community Barrel

Guests have the option to participate in a community barrel. That includes a winemaking experience for 3 dates over an 11 month period. Please see below dates if you would like to participate in the community. Cost for experience and case of wine is $275.

 

2. Personal Barrel

We offer our guests the ability to make their very own barrel of wine. It is about 240 bottles of wine after 11 months that you create or share with a group of people you choose to help you create it. If you’re looking to have your own barrel you must contact our office soon so we can ensure enough grapes for you.

Now is the time to start the wine making process! (the time is limited)

The next time grapes will be in will be April & May

They import their grapes mostly from Chile in the Spring and California in the Fall.
