Witty, dramatic and intriguing, with incredible talent!
Desperate Measures is a musical comedy at the New World Stages.
Here is our review in a playful poem and rhyme:
Desperate Measures was adapted from Shakespeare
This much so, I know is clear
It came from a play called Measure for Measure
This, you can say, what a very great treasure.
It tells of a tale of Johnny Blood,
Who’s actions got him stuck in the mud.
He killed a bloke, over a gal
And now he resides behind bars, with a pal.
A drunk priest and a caring sheriff,
Along with his sister and a not so nice mister,
Go back and forth in a game of trickery,
Don’t blink – it gets very slippery!
Witty, dramatic and intriguing, with incredible talent – go see Desperate Measures to find out Johnny’s fate!
