Kids love being in the snow. During the winter season my girls hope for a snow day so they can get outside and play in the snow and build a snowman. It doesn’t always snow here on Long Island but, it doesn’t mean we can’t have fun indoors playing with “snow”. Want to build a snowman? See how two common household items can make a mixture that feels like “snow”.
All you need to make Play Snow is:
3 cups of Baking Soda
1/2 cup of conditioner

Want to make your own?
Mix together the baking soda and the conditioner.
When your kids get their hands in the play snow they are going to be amazed how cold it feels. The reaction of the conditioner and the baking soda together makes it feel cool. The mixture is great for sensory play for all ages and your child will love how it makes perfect snowballs.
We went into our craft area to find some craft supplies to decorate our snowman. We used googly eyes, pom poms, pipe cleaners and beads. You can even head outdoors and bring in sticks, leaves and rocks to decorate your snowman.
The girls wanted to show you how easy it is to make “snow” in your home.

We hope you and your kids have fun indoors with this fun sensory activity!
