Summer is here and we are crossing off all things fun to do here on Long Island off of our bucket list.

We highly recommend visiting our friends at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City and enjoying a Nunley’s Carousel ride after you tour and explore one of our favorite interactive museums on Long Island.

“Explore over 150,000 square feet featuring 75 air and spacecraft from a hot air balloon to an actual Apollo Lunar Module and learn about Long Island’s role and why we are called the Cradle of Aviation. Our eight exhibit galleries are in chronological order and throughout the museum our volunteer docents are there to share their aerospace experience. There are over 30 hands-on exhibits, a half dozen cockpits to climb into and many short films through-out the exhibits.”

“Nunley’s Carousel is located in its own building adjacent to the Cradle of Aviation Museum on Museum Row.

Admission is $2.00 per rider and everyone on the carousel is required to have a ticket! 41 horses and a lion await you on this legendary, over 100 year old, beautifully restored carousel.”

I’m Anne

I love to write about all things Long Island and family. I was born and raised here and as a local, I want to share all the great things I have loved about living here since I was a child. Our community is filled with great people, amazing local businesses, beautiful nature sites, scenic beaches, craveable restaurants and so much more. My husband and I knew when we had our first child that I would become a stay-at-home mom. Thanks to my love for sharing all the things I love about Long Island, my blog was created in 2013.

We are dedicated to linking families and businesses together for the benefit of all.
I hope you enjoy all that Momee Friends offers whether it is a smile, craft, recipe, friendly advice, or an event for your family to attend together in a safe and creative environment.
