Enjoy relaxing on the lake with your family on a pedal boat, kayak or row boat.

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy all that Belmont Lake State Park has to offer. Kids will love the playgrounds, hiking trails, various gaming courts and fields and if you enjoy fishing you can do that, too.

 

When we rented the pedal boat we were so impressed by the staff who helped make our first time experience so enjoyable. Matt was the young man who helped us and I have to say, he was fantastic. He was super friendly and made sure we enjoyed our day.

Boat Rental Information:

• Pedal Boats and Row Boats are $15/ hour and a half

The rental coast includes the life jacket, as well. There are no belts to secure you onto the boat but, the kids are able to sit comfortably on the peddle boat with their life jacket on and once you are out on the water you will see the water is not very deep. It is a relaxing boat ride.

The kids will love looking around and searching for wildlife. We saw a turtle resting on a log. As well as, fish swimming in the water and lots of birds.

The pedal boats are a great leg workout and are very easy to steer. One person could steer the boat if your partner gets tired.

 

As we were out on our boat we saw other people fishing in the row boats. You can only fish in a row boat. As you walk around the lake you will see an area right near the southern state over pass that has a waterfall. We did not fish but, it seemed that is was a great place to fish as we saw some local fisherman with their fishing poles.

 

 

Walking under the southern state was very cool. There are trails for walking and biking here, too.

After walking around and being out on the water we definitely worked up an appetite. I packed a family picnic ahead of time and we sat at one of the many picnic tables available. There is a lot of shady areas to eat under because of all of the beautiful trees. There is a concession available, as well.

 

The playgrounds are beautiful and there is one for younger kids and one for older kids. I really love how there is enough room to enjoy all of the activities but, at the same time the parking and activities are all in close proximity to one another. There is a restroom right near the playgrounds, as well.

 

 

My family and I enjoyed all that Belmont Lake State Park had to offer and we can not wait to go back. Highly recommend for a beautiful day out with your family!
