Kudos to Noodles & Company in Patchogue for being selected as one of Long Island’s Bright Picks! Noodles & Company is just one of many businesses throughout our community that have opened their doors and are creating ways for anyone to succeed.
As a Job Coach and Direct Support for people with disabilities, I have the great privilege of working alongside some of the most amazing individuals – advocating, supporting them, and assisting them in community-based programs which help them become immersed and fully included within the community.
Meet my friend, Lee Bergmann – a 21 year old young man living with autism. Lee has always desired to become a chef, and through food prep and cooking skills classes at BOCES ICCC, he was able to receive the necessary training needed to become an intern at Noodles, preparing ingredients for the extensive menu of dishes. In addition to his busy schedule, he also volunteers each week at a senior living kitchen doing food prep.
Lee is a very independent, diligent, and dependable individual, and with his incredible attention to detail, it is no surprise that he is now on the Noodles & Company payroll!
Momee Friends would also like to congratulate Lee and offer our best wishes for his continued success!
