Jason and Amy Didner have enjoyed their summer ritual of driving to the Jersey Shore with the music of Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and more sun-drenched summer rock-n-roll playing on the car stereo for almost as long as they’ve been together. Now with the help of their band, the Jungle Gym Jam, they’ve assembled the sounds and memories they love the most into a new album, Lollipop Motel  — a rollicking soundtrack for your summer beach vacation with the family.

The couple and their band are using their new collection of kids’ music to help make a difference in the lives of children this summer, for which they’ve given the hashtag #SummerOfSharing. In that spirit, they’ve dedicated 50% of their album download proceeds in the month of July to help Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Social Work Fund, which helps parents who have a child staying in the hospital with incidental expenses like transportation and meals. Likewise, the sale of a physical CD will generate a 10% donation to CHOP. Previously in May, the Jungle Gym Jam devoted 50% of proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Then in June, the band helped a boy from Philadelphia who was born with a heart condition. Beneficiaries for August will be announced soon.

See Jason Didner and the Jungle Gym Jam this week on Long Island:

On Tuesday, July 12, they will perform at the Jones Beach Boardwalk Bandshell

Which is a free show that starts at 7:30. The full band will put on an electric rock performance of our “beachiest” music, inspired by Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.

On Saturday, July 16, they will be in the KidZone at Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue!

They will perform at about 2PM. Catch Erin Lee & Up Past Bedtime Band and Lena & the Happy As Clams Band too! Then come back Sunday 7/17 for the headlining performance by Laurie Berkner, whose great music made me want to entertain kids too! A general admission one-day ticket is $32 and includes shows on all stages and the KidZone activities.

About the Music

Feel good music that you and your kids will love singing and dancing too! The songs will make the kids laugh and giggle with tunes like “Little Yellow Plane,” “Summertime Santa” and “Jersey Dinosaurs.”

Their messages are positive and I love that in this song titled, My Superpower one of the lyrics says, “When you need someone to stand for you I will stand like a tower because kindness is my superpower!”

Lollipop Motel CD

Lollipop Motel is the Jungle Gym Jam’s second album, a follow-up to their Parents’ Choice-approved Everyone’s Invited! which peaked at #2 on the CD Baby children’s music chart and was named Editor’s Pick by the online music distributor.

Jason, Amy and band are set to travel through the mid-Atlantic states from New York to Virginia through the spring and summer in support of Lollipop Motel.

The disc became available worldwide starting May 13, at CD Baby for a price of $12.98. Digital downloads will be available at CD Baby, Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon MP3, and Google Play Store starting at $9.95. Digital download proceeds are shared 50/50 with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
