Adventureland, Long Island’s iconic amusement park, offering family fun for everyone since 1962, is excited to announce that for the first time ever its Helping Hands Foundation will be sponsoring the annual Pumpkin Park event from 11am-5pm on Halloween, Saturday, 10/31/26. This year Long Island non-profit organizations are invited to apply to participate by hosting a table along “Sweet Street” and giving out candy to Adventureland goers.
“For over 35 years, our annual Pumpkin Park Halloween event has become an extremely popular family-friendly way for visitors of all ages to get into the Halloween spirit and go Trick-or-Treating along “Sweet Street” in the park,” said Jeanine Gentile-Pacella, Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation Spokeswoman. “This year we are creating a wonderful high visibility opportunity for Long Island’s non-profit organizations to be part of this annual tradition and connect with local families to share their message about what they do.”
The annual event draws in over three-thousand visitors per year. Costumes are encouraged. For non-profit organizations interested in participating, please apply before 9/1/26. Up to 15 non-profits will be selected to participate, each receiving brand recognition throughout the event, complimentary tickets to the event, candy to hand out to trick or treaters, as well as a $1,000 donation from Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation.

About Adventureland
Adventureland was founded in 1962 as a local place for families to have fun and relax. Over 64 years later, the park is now a destination amusement park, home to classic rides that include our iconic Ferris Wheel and brand new Venetian Carousel, and new thrills debuting this season, including Wave Twister and The Ram. With rides, games, and attractions for children and adults of all ages, Adventureland is a favorite for the young and young at heart.
As a major area tourist attraction, Adventureland has a positive impact on the local and state economy, through employment and patronage to other local companies. Annually, our park hires over 650 part-time employees, most of whom are high school and college students. Indeed, working at Adventureland is a first job for many employees. We train them in a variety of areas (e.g., cash handling, safety, guest relations) which prepares them with the basic skills they will carry into their future careers.
