When forming the volcano I used my homemade play dough recipe for the bottom of the volcano and fossil play dough for the top of the volcano. Homemade Play Dough —-> click here Fossil Play Dough —> click here Directions: When forming the volcano make a dome shape and make a hole in the center to hold a small cup or plastic cup. To make your volcanic “explosion” you will need: Baking Soda and Vinegar Red Food Coloring is optional but add more drama Pop Rocks are optional but will add the sizzle and cracking sound for more drama Put Baking Soda inside the cup Then pour in the vinegar with or without the red food coloring and see what happens… Mia loved the volcanic explosion and did not want to stop doing it.
