Meet our Shining Child of the Month for August, 5-year-old Michaela.

michaela2

Michaela is from Medford and will become a big sister in October. She is a sweet young girl who has been a huge help in her daycare. At such a young age she has learned sign language from being at her daycare and watching Nick Junior shorts on her television at home. She has used the sign language she has learned to help a little boy who also goes to her daycare that has speech problems. She communicates with him and helps him express his needs through sign language. What a caring and compassionate young girl she is and we thank her for shining in our community!

Michaela was nominated by Geriann the daughter of the woman who runs the daycare. She felt Michaela needed to be recognized and we agreed! Thank you Geriann.

WAY TO SHINE MICHAELA!

I’m Anne

I love to write about all things Long Island and family. I was born and raised here and as a local, I want to share all the great things I have loved about living here since I was a child. Our community is filled with great people, amazing local businesses, beautiful nature sites, scenic beaches, craveable restaurants and so much more. My husband and I knew when we had our first child that I would become a stay-at-home mom. Thanks to my love for sharing all the things I love about Long Island, my blog was created in 2013.

We are dedicated to linking families and businesses together for the benefit of all.
I hope you enjoy all that Momee Friends offers whether it is a smile, craft, recipe, friendly advice, or an event for your family to attend together in a safe and creative environment.

I hope you enjoy my blog and find it informative! Please feel free to comment and share your experiences with all your fellow Momee Friends! I want this blog to be for all of us and I want it to be an enjoyable site that you absolutely love to visit!
